Opal Star Ring

A client had recently inherited her great grandmother’s stone collection. In the collection she discovered this massive opal. Coming in at 14mm x 14mm this stone was magnificent. For the most part, we were given very little design guidelines. The client asked for stars and diamonds, and we said “no problem!”, and got right to work. We had a lot of fun with this one, adding diamonds around the bezel and on the band, replacing one of the standard prongs with a simple star. This ring became a simple statement and we love it.
